Thirty-five South Jersey school districts are eligible for state funding aimed at construction and maintenance projects, state education officials announced Wednesday.

The Massachusetts School Building Authority yesterday approved the final audit for the construction of Lawrence High School, which opened in 2007.

While $2.5 billion may sound like a ton of money, Palm Beach County School District officials say their new total budget is barely enough to scrape by.

They’re also getting ready for new school construction in the fall.

This years sixth- and seventh-graders attending Greenbrier Middle School will be the first students to occupy the new, nearly completed building. The $6 million school building sits at the previous lot of Dean Martin, the first school building in the district.

ORD — Construction and renovation at the Ord Public Schools has displaced some of the office workers for the summer, but it will be worth it.

Waterman Construction Management Inc. of Barrington has partnered with Cranston High School West students to design new bus shelter for Roger William Zoo and RIPTA. Four student’s have worked with Cranston West faculty Valerie Bruzzi and Michael Del Rosso (son of Beverly Del Rosso President Waterman Construction Management).
