WATSONVILLE — After years of delays, a historic Watsonville middle school is finally getting a modern gym.

For more than a month, California Street near the Governors Drive intersection in Huntsville has been closed. The road project started in mid-June. Detoured drivers have been dealing with traffic and alternate routes. On August 9th, school traffic is about to be added to the mix. There will be changes to the transportation of the estimated 660 students at Huntsville Middle School.

The construction bid to expand the Rio Rancho High School wrestling room was pretty standard.

DURANT, OK – Construction continues this summer on the new Durant High School. Durant ISD Superintendent Jason Simeroth says the $35 million construction project is still on track, and that the school should be open to students in August of next year.

The Charleston County School Board will ask voters this fall to pass an eight-year, one-cent sales tax that would generate at least $500 million for needed construction projects.

Construction has started on a more than three million dollar addition to Williamsburg City School.

Ten school districts in Burlington County learned Wednesday that they were approved to receive a total $4.01 million in state grants for various capital improvement and maintenance projects.

Construction has started on the new $79 million Danvers High School project. Officially beginning on July 22, the work tally so far includes the installation of temporary fences around the perimeter of the construction area, the removal of asbestos that was discovered inside office quarters in the north wing, and the subsequent demolition of the north wing.
