Ten county school systems make the final cut.

Voters in the Mahtomedi school district in the north metro head to the polls Tuesday, to decide whether to raise their property taxes to fund $45 million in construction.

Life-Safety work and improvements to East View Elementary School at 4209 Rt. 71, Oswego, will begin this year. Oswego School District Board members gave Doug Gallois, executive director of construction services, the okay to proceed on the project’s bid documents during a meeting Monday evening.

The Phoenixville Area School District’s Board of Directors passed a motion on Thurs., April 15, to approve the construction of two artificial turf field projects, with the second to be further considered in the next two years.

OTHELLO Lutacaga Elementary School staff and students settled into the newly renovated and expanded facility this week. The Othello School District is hosting an open house for the public to view the facility on April 27 at 7 p.m. in Lutacagas gymnasium, located at 795 S. Seventh Ave.
