Lisa Nickel, principal of South Meadows School, gave Chelsea School Board members a tour of the new construction prior to their meeting Monday. The construction includes a new gymnasium, art and music rooms, and renovations to classrooms and the playground.

Turner Construction Company, the nation’s largest builder of education facilities, was selected by the Los Angeles Unified School District to manage construction of two elementary schools and one high school in Los Angeles, Calif. totaling $102 million.
