DLR Group recently welcomed Principal Dan Sullivan as Higher Education Leader. Working from the Denver studio, Sullivan is slated to take an active role in major campus planning projects, build and foster relationships with clients, and cultivate new studies that will grow the Higher Education sector in a myriad of ways.
Sullivan鈥檚 experience involves campus and athletic planning, renovation and adaptive reuse projects of centuries-old military buildings, feasibility studies and facility assessments, and every phase of architectural documentation and construction administration.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Sullivan has been a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for twenty years and was recently the Northern Indiana Chapter president. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with a Building, Design and Construction certification, proving his commitment to sustainability and creative stewardship of the environment.
Noteworthy projects include the first mass-timber collegiate arena, Idaho Central Credit Union Arena at the University of Idaho (Hastings+Chivetta Architects), the Maryland Heights Community Center (CannonDesign), the renovation/addition of Northern Kentucky University鈥檚 Campus Recreation Center (CannonDesign), the Schoellkopf Hall renovation and addition at Cornell University (Sasaki Associates), and Harvard鈥檚 1813 Charles Bulfinch-designed University Hall revitalization (Bruner/Cott Architects). Within the collegiate sports and recreation industry, Sullivan has presented at various conferences and conventions in addition to writing for Athletic Business and Campus Recreation magazines.
