The Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 Board of Education in Elmhurst, Ill., recently named Mary Baum the district鈥檚 new assistant superintendent for learning and teaching. Baum has spent the last four years as principal of Mill Street Elementary School in Naperville District 203, prior to which was a teacher, assistant principal and principal for Palatine District 15.
Baum is currently working toward a Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction doctorate from Aurora University. She received a master鈥檚 degree in education from National Louis University as well as a bachelor鈥檚 degree in nursing from Rush University.
