Arizona School District Named for Operational Excellence
SURPRIZE, Ariz. — SchoolDude, a company that delivers cloud-based applications to help schools better manage their facilities, IT and business operations, named Dysart Unified School District in Surprise a national Campus Champion for operational excellence in early July. The company serves more than 6,000 educational institutions and more than 1 million educational professionals, and as such, recognizes top performers in the field annually.


Kobelco Construction Machinery USA, a company that produces a full range of crawler excavators for construction, is pleased to announce the appointment of Randy Hall as vice president of operations. Hall has more than 35 years of experience in the equipment industry and a proven track record in building and managing key relationships with equipment dealerships, national accounts and finance partners.
St. Louis-based Tarlton Corp., a general contracting and construction management firm, has hired Jeffery Clark as project manager for the firm’s Concrete Group. Prior to joining Tarlton, Clark worked as superintendent on multiple large-scale projects and as concrete superintendent on several projects at Washington University in St. Louis, including the university’s Danforth Center, Engineering Building and Central Underground Garage.
CLINTON, N.Y. — The new 81,000-square-foot Kevin and Karen Kennedy Center for Theatre and the Studio Arts at Hamilton College in Clinton will open later this summer, with an official dedication scheduled for Oct. 10.
NEW YORK — Nearly one in three New York City public schools experienced overcrowding during the 2012 school year, an issue neither documented nor tracked by the city’s Department of Education, according to an audit released by city Comptroller Scott M. Stringer.
