University of Kansas Receives Massive Donation for Building
LAWRENCE, Kan. — The University of Kansas (KU) recently received a $20 million gift from the Capitol Federal Foundation of Topeka. The gift will be used to build a new state-of-the-art building for the school of business. The gift represents the largest donation the foundation has ever made and the biggest donation ever received by the business school.

David F. Hales was selected president and chief executive officer of Second Nature, the Boston-based advocacy organization committed to promoting sustainability through higher education. Prior to assuming the position, Hales was the fifth president of College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine.
Marsha Perry joins Vanir Construction Management Inc., as the firm’s senior education planner, where she will focus on clients in the K-12 and higher education markets. Based in Sacramento, Calif., Perry will be responsible for developing business through early planning and related services. She comes to the company with more than 20 years of operations, business development, and educational facilities planning and funding experience.
