GLHN Architects & Engineers Inc. elected Brian Hagedon, AIA to the firm’s Board of Directors and as a principal. Hagedon will head architectural design at GLHN, assisting the firm’s next generation of leaders as they advance their development in Building Information Modeling. He was employed by GLHN from 1980-1992 and rejoined the firm in 2009, bringing more than 25 years of experience as an architect and electrical designer.

JOPLIN, Mo. — On May 22, 2011, Joplin experienced devastating loss — losing 162 people and nearly 8,000 structures as a result of a powerful tornado ripping through the town of more than 50,000 residents.
Of the buildings destroyed by the tornado — 10 buildings in the Joplin School District were significantly damaged or completely devastated.
HOUSTON — A chrysalis is the term of the pupa stage of a butterfly’s life cycle, named for the hard skin developed once the outer layer of skin comes off for the first time.
