The Rochester, Minn., office of HGA Architects and Engineers (HGA) recently announced the addition of Dawn Vickerman as the firm’s business developer directing new business opportunities for HGA’s growing healthcare, corporate and higher education market sectors. Vickerman has more than 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing and customer service. She studied at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, and Winona State University in Minnesota.
Tarkett, a global leader in flooring and sports surfaces solutions, announced that Len Ferro has been named president of the Tandus Centiva business division of Tarkett North America. Ferro succeeds Glen Hussmann who announced his retirement in January. Ferro brings significant expertise, knowledge and experience to his new role, having served most recently as Tandus Centiva’s chief operating officer (COO) since 2013 and previously as the chief financial officer (CFO) from 2004.
Shen Milsom & Wilke LLC (SM&W) announced the appointment of Tom Shen to president and chief executive officer. Shen has spent 21 years at the firm, including seven years managing the San Francisco office. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Shen served as the firm’s managing partner, playing a critical role in many of its most complex and demanding projects while also helping to manage the firm’s global resources to unify coordination efforts on multi-discipline projects.
Nicholas Rich has been named a vice president in the Seattle buildings sector office of WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global engineering and professional services organization. In his new position, Rich will head the office’s electrical department, managing projects in Seattle and throughout the Northwest. Some of the firm’s recent clients in the region include the University of Washington and Amazon.

Grom has been with the firm since 2000, providing program management solutions to the educational marketplace and a variety of school districts in both rural and urban settings. Karl Kreutziger has been promoted to president of C.W. Driver Companies, a building firm serving the Western United States since 1919. For the past five years, Kreutziger served as president of Driver SPG, a division of C.W. Driver Companies, which focuses on specialized new construction, renovation and tenant improvement projects.

The Education Services team focuses on construction and renovation projects for K-12 schools and community colleges primarily in Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado. Dr. Peterson has more than 28 years of experience in the construction and facilities industry, including 21 years in the educational arena working for school districts.
K-12 education planner and designer Wendell Vaughn, AIA, LEED BD+C, joined DLR Group as the design leader for the firm’s K-12 practice in California. He will lead design, programming and planning for school districts and K-12 education clients in California from the firm’s Santa Monica and Pasadena offices. Vaughn brings 30 years of experience serving education clients and has led the planning, design and construction of more than $3.1 billion in educational facilities.
