DURHAM, N.C. — The Duke University Board of Trustees recently approved a series of upgrades to the school’s 85-year-old Wallace Wade Stadium. The privately funded enhancements will primarily focus on expanding services and improving the fan experience.
ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The University of Michigan (U-M) Board of Regents granted the athletic department’s wish on Sept. 18, approving $18.7 million in renovations to the Intramural Sports Building and the construction of a $168 million South Campus athletics facility, the university’s largest sports-focused construction project in decades.

MORROW, Ga. — Clayton State University (CSU), a unit of the University System of Georgia, recently celebrated the topping out of the campus’ new Science Building. Once completed, the $19.8 million energy efficient Science Building will provide the school with 64,000 square feet of new high tech instruction and research space.
TUCSON, Ariz. — The University of Arizona has announced its selection of GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc. of Tucson and national design firm Gould Evans to complete a $3 million addition to McClelland Hall. The addition will require infilling two levels of the hall’s existing courtyard, creating a new space that will house the Eller College Professional Development Center.
PIQUA, Ohio — Construction on both new Springcreek and Washington primary schools (K-3) in Piqua is almost 87 percent complete, while construction on the new Piqua Central Intermediate School (4-6) is about 53 percent complete. The consolidation of Piqua City School District schools into the three facilities will help save the district money in electrical, plumbing, heat and air-conditioning costs.
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Pennsylvania legislators continue to fight for a better way to reimburse in the state. Rep. Seth Grove of York recently sponsored House Bill 2124, which would help update the PlanCon (or Planning and Construction Workbook) process to be more efficient for schools.
NASCHITTI, N.M. — The new Naschitti Elementary School near Ship Rock, N.M. is on track for a January 2015 opening, making this semester the last Naschitti students will spend in the school’s original building.
