An auditorium wall collapsed at Mount Vernon High School late Monday, but no one was injured. Police, fire and construction officials descended on the school after the collapse at about 5:30 p.m.

NIWOT – Niwot High School will be closed Tuesday due to traces of asbestos found by construction workers on Monday.

Construction on the new Blountstown High School is a bit behind schedule, but still on-track to open for Fall 2011 school year. County leaders broke ground on the project six months ago. School officials are pleased with the progress so far.

CHOCTAW, OK — A construction crane collapsed a few hundred feet from a school playground in Choctaw, Monday after 10 a.m. The accident happened next to the Choctaw Middle and Elementary schools. The crane was being used to build a new middle school, which is a $16.5 million project. The Middle School Principal is unsure if the accident will push back their estimated completion date of May, 2011.
