Los Angeles Schools Oppose Property Tax
LOS ANGELES — In an effort to clean up winter stormwater — often filled with toxins, trash and health-threatening pollutants — Los Angeles County officials created a proposal to capture runoff closer to where it falls, and the plan calls for funding from a property tax.


WASHINGTON — In light of the recent focus on school security issues following the tragic events in Newtown, Conn., and in an effort to help the school community understand the key issues of school security as it relates to the built environment, the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) will convene a School Security Summit on Feb. 6, 2013, in Washington, DC.

He was responsible for business in excess of $1 billion annually and served key clients in various industries, including higher education and the K-12 education sector.
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Garden City High School recently celebrated the completion of its $10.5 million expansion and renovation project. Those working on the New York high school project gathered for a ribbon cutting and time capsule ceremony, marking the completion and opening of the new space.
NORTHVILLE, Mich. — Construction on Northville Park Place, a retail and mixed-use development project, will begin early this year in Michigan. The construction site is located at the former Northville Psychiatric Hospital, a 400-plus acre campus that closed in 2003 and was sold by the state years ago to two different owners.
