COLD SPRING – Construction of the Rocori High School expansion continues on schedule after two steel workers suffered serious injuries in separate incidents this week.

TEWKSBURY – The commencement of construction on Tewksburys new high school is drawing near. The entire process, which has carried on for several years, is approaching the final steps that will lead to the building of a new school for the towns high school students.

Auburn-Washburn school district leaders hoped construction would be complete in time for enrollment, but they are a little behind schedule.

Phase 1 Construction Underway Time to break out the shovels and bulldozers; the Fayetteville School Board has approved a $2.9 Million dollar contract from Nabholz Construction for demolition and excavation for Phase 1 of construction at the high school.

Construction is under way at one of the regions fire-ravaged schools while the other can expect minor upgrades to the building that would replace the one lost in the blaze.

Major construction continues at Williamsburg-James City County’s J. Blaine Blayton Elementary and Lois Hornsby Middle School, even though the bulk of the work on the buildings was scheduled to be completed weeks ago.
