J.R. Clancy Inc. has introduced the PowerAssist system, allowing schools and theaters to automate their existing manual flying systems. Automated flying allows simple, pushbutton control of overhead scenery, lighting equipment and curtains backstage.


Automated flying systems eliminate the need to handle weights and haul on ropes, improving backstage safety. PowerAssist winches are part of the companys Design for Safety initiative.
